Dave Summers was next across the line in 1.40.14 with Chris Jones continuing his excellent season with a time of 1.43.21, taking 11 minutes off his personal best.
Four club members tackled wind, rain and 50,000 runners at the Great North Run.
First across the finish line for the club, in an impressive time of 2.06.06, was Peter Rose. He was followed by Rachel Luke in 2.16.31. Club President, and annual Great North Runner, Paul Rogerson ran in support of fellow member Celia Bloor in a time of 3.57.14.
