Stamford Striders took on a range of distances across the country and beyond this weekend.
Alan Hayes made the longest trip, to cover the most miles in the Tralee International Marathon in County Kerry, Ireland.
He covered the 26.1 miles in 3h23m39 on Saturday to work up a thirst for the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Fellow Strider Jim Morris was in action at the rain-sodden Reading Half Marathon on Sunday where he finished 127th in a field of almost 13,000, narrowly missing out on a personal best time with 1.18.13.
Closer to home, Simon Fell continued his London Marathon preparations with an impressive 2.06.05 to finish 21st at Ashby 20-mile road race in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
And a trio of Striders took on Hurden 9 and 18 mile races at Offord, Cambridgeshire.
Nicholas Smith completed the shorter distance in 1.10.01 ahead of Celina Silver (1.21.54). Dave Aust opted for a second lap, finishing the 18 miles in 2.33.48.
