Striders trio take top five spots

Stamford Striders claimed three top-five finishes at the Stathern 10k on Sunday.

Jim Morris, fresh from a win at Newark the previous day, finished third with Paul Massingham fifth. Vicky Old finished second lady at the event in Leicestershire.

Zoe Fountain was also in action for her debut in the Striders’ yellow and blue, clocking an impressive 61m45 on her first attempt at the distance.

A total of 12 Striders took on the undulating course which had been lengthened from previous years to edge closer to the full 10k distance.
