Uppingham Town have reached the final of the John Wilcox Cup Final, cruising to victory against Oundle in Sunday’s semi-final.
Oundle won the toss and batted with opening pair of J Dalley (30) and J Bolsover (26) building an opening partnership of 53 runs for the first wicket.
But once Town started taking wickets, the visitors fell apart with only Pete Wilson (12) reaching double figures as Oundle collapsed, all out for just 110 runs in 37.4 overs.
Spin bowlers Ben Collins (3 wickets for 19) and Scott Green (2 for 13) caused major problems for the lower order batting.
Harry Robertson and Max Collins both took two good catches in a good all round fielding performance from Uppingham
In reply, Uppingham suffered the early loss of Jamie Dumford for 7 but Martin Bennett 49 not out and Jamie Richardson 36 not out saw Uppingham safely home to a comfortable win in the 21st over.
