Young people are being urged to take part in the second Rutland Open Youth Art Exhibition.

Arts4Rutland is once again running the competition to search for the best young artists in the county.

The competition is open to young artists aged between 11 and 18, either living or attending school in the county.

Artwork should be submitted on the theme of: “Do you see what I see?” Works are accepted in the mediums of painting, drawing, ceramic, sculpture and textiles. Each artist can submit up to three works for consideration.

The selected works will be on show at Rutland County Museum during February.

There will be prizes in several age categories and one of the top prizes will be the chance for the winning artwork to be displayed at Goldmark Gallery alongside work by professional artists.

The hand-in date for entries into the Rutland Open Youth Art competition is Saturday, January 30, between 10am and 4pm, at Rutland County Museum.

Entry forms are downloadable from the Arts for Rutland website at www.artsforrutland.co.uk or by collecting one from the museum itself.
