Pizza lovers are being called upon to help raise money for a good cause, Peterborough’s Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice Appeal – and all they need to do is tuck into a limited edition pizza!

The Knead Pubs Big Pizza Bake Off competition asked customers to dream up their perfect pizza.

The lucky winner, Amanda Willson from Bourne, will now see her creation feature on
the pubs’ menus and £1 from every winning pizza sold will go towards the hospice’s appeal.

“After much deliberation, we chose Amanda’s ‘Thai Delight’ pizza,” said Knead Pubs owner Michael Thurlby.

“With a base of Thai green curry sauce topped with marinated lemon grass chicken, picked ginger, sesame seed pak choi, mozzarella and drizzled with a mango and lime yogurt, the pizza is now on our menus and proving popular already.”

Hospice fundraiser Jo Marriott added: “We’re really grateful to have the support of Knead Pubs, it’s a great way to raise money.

“Amanda’s pizza smelt absolutely delicious – we’re sure it’s going to go down a treat!”

The winning pizza will be available for £11.95 at The Tobie Norris in Stamford, Smith’s of Bourne in Bourne), The Prince Rupert in Newark and The Lord Nelson in Oakham) over the next three months.
