A NEW craft fair which only features products made in Rutland launches this weekend.

The Made in Rutland craft fair will take place at Whissendine village hall on Saturday from 10am until 4pm.

Organisers hope the event will have a cafe feel to it where people can take their time to browse the stalls and decide what to buy in a calm and relaxed environment.

It is the perfect chance to start your Christmas shopping, or just to treat yourself, as well as supporting local crafters.

Products on offer include hand-knitted items from the Whissendine Knit and Natter group, knitted designs and silk painted scarves by Flirty Gertie, pictures by EcoClick Photography, hand crafted wooden items, preserves, watercolour paintings, jewellery, gift cards and samosas.

Refreshments will be served during the day along with a raffle which will raise money for Leicester Animal Rescue and the Whissendine Good Neighbour Scheme.

Admission is free.
