Alongside the release, the band will be playing a number of gigs across the local area including a show at the Voodoo Lounge at Mama Lizs in Stamford on February 13.

The band, formed in 2011, is made up of bassist Chris Gordan, from Stamford, lead vocalist and guitarist, Rick Butcher, and drummer, Adam Mansfield, who are both from Peterborough.

Adam said: “We feel that this year is going to be the year that we have a solid plan of where we are going.”

And Stamford-based singer-songwriter Irene Rae hopes to release her latest EP this year. Irene, who released her first full-length album in 2009, will go back into the studio this month for the latest recording.

This year also marks a return to live performance with a range of dates to be announced.

Irene said the new EP would bring a “more mature sound and direction.”
