An ambitious mix of old and new will form the base of Rutland Arts Theatre Society’s biggest show so far.
Director Duncan Tomblin has brought in some new blood for the production of Musical Follies to add a dash of burlesque to the group’s old time music hall style.
Duncan said: “It is the most original and complicated show I have been involved in.
“Putting it together has taken many months of hard work.
“The input of both old and new members had come up with something quite original which we hope will please everyone.
“There is a lot of audience interaction and if we get the people in it is going to be a fantastic show.”
Musical Follies opened in the Victoria Hall in Oakham yesterday and will run until Saturday.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets are £8 in advance from Music & More in Melton Road, Oakham or £10 on the door if available.
