Two Stamford DJs have turned their hands to promotion after booking one of Britain’s brightest upcoming producers.

Alex Birks and Sam Cartwirght, who are part of the regular Tribe night at the Voodoo Lounge at Mama Liz’s, will host Beneath The Surface at the Riverside Venue in Wharf Road tomorrow.

The highlight of the night will be a set from Leeds-based Josh Butler, pictured above, and Alex hopes to see a sell-out crowd.

He said: “This is by far the biggest independent event I have attempted to create for the people of Stamford.

“Josh Butler is a 23-year-old DJ and producer who has had releases on a number of big record labels, such as MTA Records, Off Recordings and Pura Music.

“His biggest release, Got a Feeling, is signed to Chase and Status’s very own label MTA and has been smashing dancefloors across the globe since its release in February.

“Pleasurekraft’s edit of Got a Feeling is also sitting in at number two in Beatport’s deep house top ten this week and could well make its way to the top spot in time for Saturday night.

“A full frequency speaker set up, supplied Dedication Audio, has also been approved to give Beneath The Surface a sound quality as tight as some of the top clubs in Britain.”

The night runs from 9pm until 3am and there is a full lineup of local support. Tickets are £5 on the door. For details on advance tickets visit Facebook.
