Peterborough Poetry and Literary Festival

PETERBOROUGH Poetry and Literary Festival - We Love Words takes place at various locations across Greater Peterborough from tomorrow until Saturday next week.

Organised by the John Clare Trust and artistically programmed by Sir Andrew Motion, performers include Roger McGough, Wendy Cope, Helen Mort, Clive James, Attila the Stock Broker, Sir Andrew Motion, and local poets.

Roger McGough will open the festival tomorrow at 7.30pm in the Key Theatre in Peterborough.

The final of the Peterborough Poet Laureate competition will be held at The Key Theatre on Saturday next week from 7.30pm.

The event, hosted by Keely Mills and Toby Wood is the final stage of this annual competition to find a local poet to hold the honorary title of Peterborough Poet Laureate. Sir Andrew Motion will present the prize.
