CINDERELLA will be performed by Rutland Arts Theatre Society (Rats), in Victoria Hall, Oakham from Wednesday to Saturday, January 22.

The show, adapted from a script by long-standing Rats member Sheila Plant, is directed by Patricia Buxton, who is joined by young Rats member and Uppingham Community College pupil Tom Johnson as assistant director.

There will be two shows on Saturday, January 22 - a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7.30pm.

All other performances start at 7.30pm. The licensed bar will open at 7pm.

PIRATES and cannibals will take over Market Overton Village Hall from Wednesday, January 26, to Saturday, January 29, in Cottesmore Village Players production of Robinson Crusoe.

This swashbuckling tale of a desert island, lost treasure, cannibals and pirates has been adapted and directed by Rob Chisholm.

A CAST of 50 children from the Deepings will take part in The Wizard of Oz at The Deepings School on Friday week and Saturday, January 22.

The script is based on the story of The Wizard of Oz and the show is full of fairies, Munchkins and evil witches, providing excellent entertainment for all the family.

Tickets for performances at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Saturday, are £6, (£4) or £18 for a family ticket.
