A GARDEN Party with a difference takes place on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at Fryers Cottage, Manton in aid of development charity, Send a Cow.
Visitors are asked to bring gifts to ‘Pass On’ (sell) on one of the African-style stalls selling books, bric-a-brac, plants and produce.
Teas will be served and there will be a quiz, games and competitions for all ages.
Admission is £2 or free if you bring gifts for the stalls. Everyone is welcome
Send a Cow helps African families grow enough food to feed their families, sell produce and develop small businesses that last. They provide training, livestock, seeds and on-going support. Families helped ‘Pass On’ their first female calf or kid and knowledge to another family so the gift keeps multiplying.
Send a Cow has been working in Ethiopia for over 10 years helping families make best use of their resources to withstand the extreme weather conditions and grow enough food to store throughout the year and be better equipped to deal with tough times like drought or floods.
