Can you pass the UK citizenship test?

In the wake of Brexit, with the future movement of people between the UK and Europe uncertain, one option that may be available to people who have lived here for the past five years is naturalisation.

But to obtain a UK passport, applicants need to pass the ‘Life in the UK’ test - answering 24 questions on British customs, politics and history in 45 minutes.

Dubbed as “a bad pub quiz” by one university academic, the £50 test, which must be sat in London and requires a 75 per cent pass mark, is nonetheless what decides whether the passport applicant is “British enough” to stay here.
