A fungal foray event will be held on Sunday, November 15, at Twyford Wood near Colsterworth.

This event promises to be a fascinating tour by mycologist David Feld in a wood that also includes a Second World War airfield.

The annual event is organised by Marianne Overton, who said: “This is always a fascinating event linking an interest in wildlife with the professional world of biologists. We learn so much, discovering a world that would normally go unnoticed and the spectacular trees in Autumn colours add majesty to the event.”

Mr Feld will lead the walk, accompanied by Jane Ostler. Jane has held the post as County Recorder for many years.

Entry is £3 for non-members, £1 for members of the Royal Society of Biology, the Wildlife Trusts or RSPB. Numbers are limited, so book by November 14 by e-mailing marianne.overton@biosearch.org.uk
