A-level results 2020: Arthur Mellows Village College, Glinton




A headteacher said he and staff are "incredibly proud" of A-level and vocational course pupils receiving their results in these "unprecedented times".

As well as praising the year group at Arthur Mellows Village College in Glinton, Mike Sandeman gave special mention to several pupils for their impressive achievements.

These were Amalie Yates, JJ Peake, Kathryn Pepper, Matthew Stevenson, Elijah Dawson, Maia Fakolujo, Javier Lopez-Lazaro, Madeleine Minall, Polly Moore, Tom Nelson-Smith, Paige Nolan, Evie Westbrook, Tiegan Adam, Lily Hynes, Adam Jackson, Ellie Marston, Francesca Prance, Lauren Shaw, Maddy Shaw, Georgia Stockdale, Aliyah Thompson and Claudia Wailes.

The heads of sixth form, Kate Griggs and Emma Kavanagh were also delighted for those who secured places at top universities to study subjects including medicine, law, drama, history, psychology, sport and English literature, as well as top apprenticeships and want to congratulate all of them for their efforts and hard work.

Mr Sandeman said: “It has been an incredibly demanding end to the students’ time at the college and we are immensely proud of everyone.

"I would like to say a personal well done to all students for their hard work.”
