A-level students from New College Stamford go litter picking in the town and North Beach in Skegness




A-level students from Stamford were had at work litter picking in the town and Skegness last week.

Around 23 students, from New College Stamford, went litter picking around Stamford on Wednesday and North Beach, Skegness on Tuesday.

It was part of a social action project on plastics.

Marilyn Kennedy, head of A-levels, said: “They all had a great time and have just finished their exams so it gave them some downtime as well as helping out the community.

“We want to crack down in single use plastics and the students have been working on proposals to cut down on their use, both in college and at home."
