A-levels: Bourne Academy matches record results
It was another fantastic year for Bourne Academy as A-level results were revealed today (Thursday)
Bourne Academy headteacher Laurence Reilly said: "We are delighted to have matched last year’s record results of 33 per cent achieving A/A* results at A-level or equivalent.
"Given that 84 per cent of our students achieved a C or above at A-level or equivalent and that the overall pass rate was 99 per cent, this was indeed a superb set of results, with students facing more terminal examination papers than ever before. My congratulations go to our teachers and students for rising to the challenge of a range of new courses."
At an individual level, particular congratulations go to Finn Hudson, who achieved an A* grade in A-level mathematics, an A in physics, an A in psychology, as well as an A grade in the prestigious Extended Project qualification. Claire Leverseidge also achieved four A grades at A-level, in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. Charlton Capes achieved A grades in A-level biology and sociology, together with a Distinction in BTEC business studies. Samantha Boulton achieved Distinctions in BTEC health and social care, applied science and business studies, with Ara Maesa also achieving Distinctions in BTEC health and social care, business studies and art.
