A-levels: Outstanding results at Harington School
Students at Harington School are celebrating outstanding A-level results today, as an incredible 34 per cent of all grades were achieved at A*-A with 88 per cent of all grades at A*-C.
Fourteen students achieved at least three A grades across all their subjects.
Students have secured places at some of the most competitive universities in the country.
Robert English achieved A*A*A*A and will study Engineering at Cambridge whilst Morgan Severn achieved A*AA and will study French and Russian at Oxford.
Former Head Girl, Bethany Worsley-Wildman achieved A*AA and will study Veterinary at Bristol whilst Matthew Hallgarth A*A*AB and Will Cregan AAB will both pursue careers at Medical School.
Alicia Saffron-Taulli A*A*A will be studying Law at Kings College, London.
While university places are still being confirmed, the school is anticipating that nearly 50 per cent of all students will have secured the grades required to take up a place at a prestigious Russell group university.
John Harrison, head of school, said: "I am really proud of the achievements of all our students who have worked incredibly hard over the last two years.
"The results are testimony to both their efforts and that of the staff who have provided fantastic support."
Morgan Severn A* French, A Economics, A History
Morgan will be going to the University of Oxford to study French and Russian.

Harington School is a sixth form college offering academic A levels based in Oakham,
