Rotary Club of Bourne announce winners of competition for young writing and artists at the Wishing Well, Dyke

LEARN MOREYoung artists and writers showcased their skills as the winners of a talent-spotting competition were unveiled.
The Rotary Club of Bourne invited budding artists and photographers to enter a piece of work on the theme of ‘Colours of Nature’, while young writers were tasked for a passage about ‘Environment’.
A presentation evening was held at the Wishing Well, in Dyke, where the Mayor of Bourne, Coun Paul Fellows and Rotary Club president Stephen Powell presented the prizes and certificates.
Tim O’Riordan, Dr Xanthe Wells and Alan Dolby judged the artwork, writing and photography respectively, while Gordon Cochrane, of Bourne Photographic printed the 90 photographic entries.
Young Artist results - Junior: 1 Madeleine Hobson (Morton Primary School), 2 Caleb Omitiran (Elsea Park Primary Academy). Intermediate: 1 Hamsini Raja (Bourne GS), 2 Joseph Knowles (Bourne GS). Senior: 1 Jasmine Townsend (BGS), 2 Sanjani Mamillapalle (BGS).
Young Writer results - Junior: 1 Olivia Simms (Uffington C of E Primary School), 2 Caleb Omitiran (Elsea Park Primary Academy).
Young Photographer results - Junior: 1 Alfie Machin (Elsea Park Primary Academy), 2 Joel Omitiran (Westfield Primary Academy). Intermediate: 1 Katie Perrin (BGS), 2 Joanne Akinniyi (BGS). Senior: 1 Sanjani Mamillapalle (BGS), 2 James Banstola (BGS).
