A1 closed north of Stamford following serious crash

There are tailbacks on the A1 this morning (Friday) as emergency repairs take place following a serious crash last night north of Stamford.

According to traffic reports, a van collided with the central reservation between the Little Ponton and Harlaxton slip-roads near Grantham, and ended up on the opposite carriageway, just after 11pm last night.

Emergency repairs on the northbound carriageway are currently under way and diversions are in place.
