THE A1 in Rutland was closed twice over the weekend due to two accidents, both involving 10 vehicles.
No one was seriously injured in either incident.
The first was on the A1 southbound near Stamford on Friday at 6.38pm and involved eight cars and two lorries.
The southbound carriageway was closed between Tinwell and the Stamford/Oakham A606 exit until 8.30pm.
East Midlands Ambulance Service and the fire service were called but not needed. No one was hurt.
On Sunday another accident involving 10 cars occurred on the southbound carriageway at Stretton at 11.10am.
The road was closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land.
Three people were injured but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The southbound carriageway was reopened at 1.30pm.
