A1 reopens after South Witham accident

The A1 has reopened following an accident at South Witham this morning.

The collision took place at around 5.25am between the A151/B676 Bourne Road (Colsterworth Services Junction) and the A606 Empingham Road at Stamford.

The incident involved a tractor and other vehicles. A witness says he believes the tractor was being transported on a trailer, and had subsequently tipped off into the verge.

One man was injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
