A47 blocked at Wansford following crash

The A47 has been closed at Wansford following a crash involving two lorries and two cars..

The crash happened at about 11.50am today (Thursday) near the junction with the A1.

Police, fire and ambulance services were all called to the scene.

An East of England Ambulance service spokesman said there were a number of ‘walking wounded’ but no-one was seriously hurt. He said: “We treated one patient for a minor chest injury.”

A large amount of fluid has spilt onto the road, and Cambridgeshire police are advising motorists avoid the area.
