Stamford Shakespeare Company is continuing to receive support for its ‘Save Your Theatre’ campaign.

On Sunday, actors, Steph Collins, Bex Key and Cami Carter, took to the roads to clock up a half marathon in aid of the Save Your Theatre fundraising drive.

Starting and finishing at the gates of Tolethorpe Hall, home of Stamford Shakespeare Company, their route took them through Ryhall, Stamford, Tollbar and Great Casterton, and they were cheered on by actors, directors and friends.

They had to run individually to comply with the current restrictions but they all managed to complete the distance and raised an incredible £1,236.46.

Caroline Stephenson, chairman of Stamford Shakespeare Company board of directors, said: “This was an outstanding effort from all three runners.

“They are truly awesome and the huge amount of money raised for our cause is fantastic - they are an inspiration to us all.”

The campaign was launched because the outdoor theatre has been closed due to Covid-19 rules.
