Adventurer Sarah Outen has finished a cycle ride and will set off on the final leg of her four year journey around the world on Friday (October 30).

Sarah, from Oakham and a former Stamford High School pupil, reached Oxford on Tuesday having cycled there from Falmouth on her bike Hercules.

She will then embark on the final journey in her kayak Nelson, from Oxford to the finishing point of London Tower Bridge on Tuesday. She is due to arrive there at around midday.

She said on her Twitter account: “Legs heavy after six days of biking from Falmouth to Oxford. Otherwise a mix of adrenaline and emotion in these final days of #London2London.”
