Air ambulance takes Bourne patient to hospital




The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance was spotted in Bourne on Saturday (May 18).

The yellow helicopter landed on the Recreation Ground following a medical emergency in Bourne.

A spokesman said: "On Saturday, May 18, the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance was dispatched to a medical emergency in Bourne at 12.35pm. Our air ambulance arrived on scene in just 12 minutes, a journey that by land could have taken up to 45 minutes. Our crew treated a patient before airlifting them to Lincoln County Hospital in just 15 minutes, a journey that by land could have taken up to an hour.

“This was one of two potentially life-saving missions our crew undertook on this day, the other being a medical emergency in Grantham. The life-saving work of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is only possible thanks to the generosity of local people who continue to support our charity.”
