Thomas will also be pulling his very own special holiday train at Nene Valley Railway this weekend.

The little blue engine spent its working life at the British Sugar Corporation in the Peterborough, pushing wagons of sugar beet up an incline until the diesel engine replaced steam power.

The engine was purchased by Peterborough Railway Society in 1973 and was moved to the Nene Valley Railway where it continues to delight children of all ages.

Thomas will run on Saturday and Sunday.

Standard fares apply.
