Ammonia leak at Easton manufacturing plant

Multiple fire crews were called overnight to an Easton factory to tackle an ammonia leak.

At 2.55am this morning crews from Grantham, Market Rasen, Corby Glen, Stamford and Oakham all attended the site of food manufacturer PAS (Grantham) Ltd on Burton Road in Easton.

The firefighters used gas tight suits and breathing apparatus to enter the premises, along with on site specialists in order to isolate the ammonia leak.
