Pupils and staff from Bourne Abbey and Bourne Elsea Park primary schools were treated to a special visit from the Osiligi Maasai Warriors.

The visit was arranged by John Curtin, who has been helping the Kenyan Maasai community of Olepolos since 2003 by bringing a troupe of Warriors to perform in the UK.

A school spokesman said: “We were honoured to be treated to a performance like nothing any of the pupils or staff had seen before!”

The dances showcased Maasai history and were enhanced with authentic Maasai tribal song and prayer.

The pupils also asked questions about their culture and way of life.
