A man who is walking length and breadth of the United Kingdom visiting all the Salvation Army corps and centres stopped off in Bourne on Tuesday.

Andy Peddle, 70, is expected to cover about 7,900 miles in a journey to raise awareness and funds to combat homelessness and human trafficking. Andy arrived in Bourne on Tuesday evening walking from Stamford.

He was accompanied on the walk by Bourne Salvation Army Corps Officer, Major Richard Durrant who walked or cycled alongside.

The first call was at the Salvation Army Charity Shop Sally Anne’s in West Street before continuing through the town centre to the Salvation Army Hall in Manning Road where he was met with a big reception of people from the town.
