ANGRY parents who are fed up with clearing dog mess from their pram wheels are calling on owners to clear up after their pets.
Stephen Moss, 33, and his partner Sarah Futter, 30, are disgusted with the state of an alleyway close to their home in Mountbatten Avenue, Stamford.
The couple say that there are piles and bags of poo along the alleyway which links Edinburgh Road and Mountbatten Avenue.
The couple use the alley as a shortcut to the Edinburgh Road home of Miss Futter’s mother Susan, who looks after their two-year-old daughter Tilli.
But they are now avoiding it and have to walk the long way round after becoming fed-up of cleaning the mess off their pram wheels.
Mr Moss is calling for South Kesteven District Council’s dog warden to visit the area to help solve the problem.
He says that the problem has got worse since Christmas and is calling on dog owners to do the decent thing.
He said: “If you have a dog clear up after them. If you can’t clean it up - don’t have a dog.
“We are disgusted with it. It is quite annoying.
“With the pram you don’t see it until you have gone through it.
“It is such hardwork getting it off the wheels.
“You have to wash it and go over it with a brush and wash them.”
Mr Moss says that the problem may have been masked by the snowy weather but it has got worse since Christmas.
He said that some owners do bag up their pet’s mess but then leave it on the side of the path.
He said: “I had to pick up a bag up and put it to the side. I don’t like touching that.”
