Anyone with photographs or videos from Saturday’s Morton Street Fair are being asked for them by police in relation to a purse theft.

During the fair, which took place on Saturday between 1pm and 3pm, a small, red purse with a gold motif, zip, wallet compartment and press stud fastenings, was stolen from a charity stall outside Morton Village Hall.

The purse contained an amount of cash, various bank and store cards when it was taken at about 2.30pm and police suspect that it might have been dumped.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “To assist with our enquiries, we would appreciate it if you would share with us any images or videos that you have taken between 1pm and 3pm in any area of Morton during the street Fair, including the primary school, church rooms and village hall.”

Anyone with information about the theft should call 101, quoting incident number 295 of July 9.
