Appeal for witnesses after man attacked by group of men on Recreation Ground in Stamford

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that took place on the Recreation Ground in Stamford.

A man in his thirties was walking home when he was attacked by a group of five or six men. This is believed to have taken place at between 10pm and midnight on Saturday, August 13.

The victim received minor facial injuries and was robbed of his mobile phone and trainers. It is believed the suspects were all in their early twenties and one was of a skinny build with blonde.

If anyone witnessed this incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident number 177 of August 13.
