A charity shop manager has appealed for donations to keep the shop running through the winter.

Vicky Easton, of Mind in High Street, Stamford, fears the shop will run low on stock after witnessing a seasonal slump in donations.

The volunteers desperately need more winter clothes and bric a brac to fill the shelves.

Vicky said: “The same thing happens more or less every year as people start to focus on Christmas and don’t think about donating to charity.

“It would be great if people could have a pre Christmas clear out and donate their unwanted items.”

The charity is particularly keen to receive donations from taxpayers as it can then claim gift aid from the Government when the items are sold, raising an extra 25p per pound.

Donations can be delivered to the shop during opening hours.
