One Stop shop in Uppingham robbed by woman who threatened staff member with scissors




A woman went into a convenience store and used a pair of scissors to threaten a staff member.

Leicestershire Police are investigating the crime which happened on Sunday afternoon (March 8).

A force spokesman said: "Officers are currently investigating a robbery at a shop in High Street West, Uppingham.

"It happened at around 3.20pm yesterday (Sunday). A woman went into the shop and threatened a member of staff with a pair of scissors.

"The member of staff handed over cash from the till and the woman left the shop on foot, taking the cash, cigarettes and bottles of alcohol."

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
