Tools stolen from vans in Stamford and Bourne recovered after arrests in Corby

A significant number of power tools and work equipment has been recovered after two men were arrested in Corby.

The haul was found by police on Tuesday who carried out the arrests, and officers believe they might be linked to recent crimes in Stamford and Bourne.

These involved tools - including power tools - being taken from vans.

Rachel Blackwell, neighbourhood policing inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, said: "We are now working with Leicestershire Police and Northamptonshire Police to try to identify the recovered property and will begin the steady process of reuniting it with owners."

She added that those who have reported thefts of tools will be contacted if police think recovered items could be theirs.
