Athletes give their all in Leicester-Shire and Rutland School Games event

Primary school pupils put their sporting skills to the test in a huge regional competition.

Langham Primary School represented Rutland in the Leicester-Shire and Rutland School Games Primary Sportshall School Games Super-Series Final.

They were among 300 youngsters to take part in the contest at Loughborough University from across Rutland, Leicestershire and Leicester.

And the Langham pupils did themselves proud, finishing fifth out of 10 competing schools.

The event was part of the national Sainsbury’s School Games programme that is open to all young people aged five to 18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
