Pupils at Leighfield Primary School in Uppingham enjoy virtual visit from book authors Emma Perry and Jack Meggitt-Phillips

Authors have paid a virtual visit to a primary school so children can continue to be inspired.

Staff at Leighfield Primary School in Uppingham organised for picture book creator Emma Perry to speak to the youngest children and Key Stage 1, while Jack Meggitt-Phillips spoke to Key Stage 2 pupils.

Carried out over Zoom, both authors read excepts from their books, answered questions and set the children creative writing challenges.
