Rutland-based business Boss Bird launches ‘The 2021 Inspirational Woman Award’

An award has been launched to recognise inspiring women who have shown growth, care and support in a difficult year.

Rutland-based business, Boss Bird, has launched ‘The 2021 Inspirational Woman Award’ to recognise women from all walks of life.

Boss Bird was created in 2018 by Michelle Wilson-Stimson, an award-winning business woman and founder of financial services business EParaplan, as she struggled to keep on top of her many to-do lists and find the stationery she needed to manage them, so she created her own.

Now, Michelle is seeking out other inspirational women. Whether it is the best boss, an awesome mum or someone who radiates kindness, she is encouraging people to either nominate themselves or someone else.

Michelle said “This award is for all women out there, those who are going above and beyond.

“That could really be anything, from someone who has overcome an illness, set up a new business, being the best boss or just being a true kind and genuine friend.

“I want to recognise everyone – this is for empowering women to collaborate and celebrate who we are today.”

The entry deadline is July 4 this year, with shortlisting in September. There is no fee to enter.

In November a panel of judges - from varied walks of life but who have a common interest in business, health, parenting and kindness - will award an entrant ‘The 2021 Inspirational Woman Award’ as well as a basket of prizes and a profile online and on social media.
