PUPILS proved every little helps by setting up activity stalls for an Alzheimer’s charity.
Eight youngsters from The Deepings School received Values Awards from the Market Deeping Tesco store to thank them for helping to raise money for the supermarket chain’s charity of the year, The Alzheimer’s Society.
The pupils helped to set up and run family fun activity stalls and with bag packing for customers at the store.
Personnel manager Gaynor Hannen said: “Customers and staff commented on how delightful all the helpers were and we raised more than £370 in the afternoon, all of which will go to the charity fund.”
Deepings School headteacher Chris Beckett added: “I am very pleased and proud that so many of our students are involved in helping raise money for charity and particularly when that includes giving up their time to support events taking place within our local community.
“Well done to everyone that took part.”
