Stamford firm e-Badges named UK's Micro-business of the Year at FSB's Celebrating Small Business Awards hosted by Clare Balding
A Stamford-based badge manufacturer has been named as the UK’s Micro-business of the Year at FSB’s Celebrating Small Business Awards.
Family-run e-badges, which manufactures and supplies badge making machinery and components, won during an online award ceremony on Thursday last week, hosted by broadcaster Clare Balding.
The businesses’ portable badge making machines, all manufactured in the UK, make traditional pin badges in various sizes, as well as keyrings, fridge magnets and other products. They also create bespoke badges for customers.
Co-owner Andrew Vear said: “We are so pleased to have won this award. It’s a testament to our close-knit team who know the business inside out and are responsible for e-badges ongoing success.
“Having bought the business in 2007, we aimed to become the leading supplier of badge making machinery in the UK. We achieved this quickly and are now focused on Europe.”
