Talented dancers used their moves to win a trip to watch a top ballet show in London.

Pupils from Baston Primary School came up with their own take on The Nutcracker through a series of films introducing the themes and characters of the ballet. And judges in the Royal Opera House competition were so impressed by their performances that they awarded the pupils a trip to watch The Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker in Covent Garden.

School administrator Alison Clark said: “We are very proud and would encourage any other schools to get involved with the project.”
