A YOUNG food lover has had given his competition-winning sausage recipe the seal of approval.
Rory Cullen, four, from Stamford, entered a contest at Stamford Garden Centre, in Casterton Road, earlier this month to design a sausage as part of British Sausage Week.
Rory’s baked bean and cheese concoction won over the judges and on Wednesday the garden centre’s butchers made his idea a reality.
Mum Heather said: “He loves food, art and drawing and he enjoyed the sausage he designed.”
James Lamb, who owns the garden centre, said the sausage had gone down well.
“It was pretty inspired,” he said.
“The chef tried it and said it wasn’t bad, although I’m not sure if it will catch on or not.”
