Best primary schools in Rutland revealed by website

Two primary schools in Rutland have been given top marks by a ratings website.

Many parents in Rutland and the surrounding area are currently choosing schools for the children to start in September 2016

The website - www.schoolsguide.co.uk - has rated all the primary schools in town according to key performance data including exam results, Ofsted reports, value added score and pupil to teacher ratio.

Parents are also able to write a review of their child’s school and compare against others locally with a maximum five star rating.

The top primary schools in the area according to the website are:

1 Ketton Primary School 5*

2 Ryhall Primary School 5*

3 Langham Primary School 5*

4 Leighfield Primary School, Uppingham 4*

5 English Martyrs Primary School, Oakham 4*

6 St Mary and St John Primary School, North Luffenham 4*

7 Gretton Primary School 4*

8 Whissendine Primary School 4*

9 Brooke Hill Academy, Oakham 3*

10 St Nicholas Primary School, Cottesmore 3*

11 Uppingham Primary School 3*

12 Catmose Primary, Oakham 3*

13 Edith Weston Primary School, 3*

14 South Witham Primary School, 3*

15 Great Casterton Primary School, 1*

16 Cottesmore Primary School, 1*

17 Oakham Primary School, 1*

18 Exton and Greetham Primary School 1*

Oakham School, Brooke Priory School, The Grange School, Wilds Lodge School, The Parks School, Somerby Primary School, Empingham Primary School, St Peter’s Primary School in Wymondham and Easton Garford School were not rated.
