Shopper are being warmed to avoid buying counterfeit goods this Christmas.

Lincolnshire Trading Standards has been alerted to a number of cases where salons are being used to sell a variety of counterfeit products such as GHD straighteners and Ugg boots.

Illegal sellers are using Facebook to avoid detection.

Tim Dawson, from trading standards, said: “Counterfeit goods are usually of low quality and some products, such as hair straighteners, can potentially cause injuries or fires.”
