Stamford Flower Club decorate bike at Stamford Hospital roundabout ahead of Valentine's Day
Whether you're single or loved up, this romantic bicycle is sure to put a smile on your face.
Once again, the members of Stamford Flower Club have decorated the Stamford Music Shop bike at the roundabout near Stamford Hospital on Ryhall Road and this time it is themed in time for Valentine's Day.
The members braved cold wind yesterday (Sunday, February 7) to decorate the bike with roses and love hearts.
Club member Mary Fenn said: "It’s bright and cheerful and hopefully will spread a little love for Sunday, February 14. We need something to lift our spirits at the moment and I think this is just the ticket."
And she wasn't wrong. No sooner had the bike been installed, than Gloria Johnson penned a letter to the Mercury praising their efforts.
She said:"I just want, through your newspaper, to say how much I appreciate and enjoy the flower display at the hospital roundabout in Stamford.
"The Halloween one and the latest one for Valentine's Day are fantastic.
"I was driven past a couple of days ago feeling sorry for myself, I saw it and it lifted my spirits.
"Please carry on doing it. I'mlooking forward to the Easter one."
