Motorbike rider and passenger from Market Deeping taken to hospital after crash with car near Cowbit




A motorbike rider and passenger were taken to hospital for treatment after a crash near Cowbit last night.

Police say a collision took place between a grey Kawasaki bike and a white Vauxhall Zafira at 7.18pm on Barrier Bank, near to the A1175.

The people on the bike - said to be in their 50s and from the Market Deeping area - required hospital attention for their injuries and the road was closed for about four hours.

The rider is said to have given a positive roadside breath test and police investigations into this continue.

It is not thought that either person suffered life threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the collision are not yet clear, but it is thought both vehicles were travelling in the same direction

The driver and only occupant of the Zafira, a man in his 30s from the Peterborough area, was also said to be injured, although it is not thought his condition is serious.
