Biker, 74, hurt after crash with lorry in Oundle

A motorcyclist has been seriously hurt in a crash with a lorry in Oundle.

The crash happened in Barnwell Road at about 9.25am yesterday (Tuesday). A red Aprilia RST 1000 motorbike, ridden by a 74-year-old man from Peterborough, was in collision with as DAF lorry, driven by a 53-year-old man from Wisbech. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction.

The motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.

Witnesses to the collision or anyone with information is asked to call the Northamptonshire Police Drivewatch hotline on 0800 174615.
