Stamford and Bourne market trader Bill Pauley receives Rose Bowl award from the Rotary Club of Bourne

The Rotary Club of Bourne Rose Bowl for 2019 has been made to Bill Pauley.

Bill is a well-known character in Bourne and has been a market trader in Stamford and at the Bourne Market since 1979, selling all aspects of indoor/outdoor gardening, garden furnishings, Christmas gifts, fresh flowers, Christmas trees, wreaths, bulbs, shrubs and more.

His produce is always locally sourced. Bill was also active in the local music scene, as a drummer and singer.

The Rose Bowl has been presented annually by the club members to a Bourne business or individual for a significant contribution to the community or environment.

The particular contribution for which the Rotary Club decided Bill was a worthy recipient was his tireless and dedicated maintenance of Bourne’s wooden flower planters located at the four entrances to the town.
